Rinderknecht Receives Raise from GR School Board

The business administrator could take home $212,000 in salary and other compensation this year.

Rinderknecht Receives Raise from GR School Board

Glen Rock Business Administrator/Board Secretary Michael Rinderknecht will be receiving a pay bump for the current 2012-2013 school year.

Rinderknecht, who has been in Glen Rock since 2004, will receive a salary increase to $191,180 after board approval Monday night. He will also be eligible to receive non-pensionable compensation, school board president Rona McNabola told Patch on Wednesday.

The district's highest paid employee could receive up to $10,300 in longevity pay and with the completion of the most recent school referendum.

He could also receive up to $6,300 for the passage of a budget where the tax rate does not increase by more than 1 percent, McNabola said. Should the district's janitorial staff fare better in a performance evaluation, Rinderknecht could take home an additional $4,780.

A yearly appointment, the contract will run through June 30, 2013. Unlike superintendents, business administrators are not subject to state caps on compensation.
