Transformer Catches Fire In Glen Rock

A transformer fire was extinguished Tuesday in Glen Rock, the fire department said.

The Glen Rock Fire Department received a report of a utility pole on fire at 3:52 p.m. Tuesday.

The fire was reported at the intersection of Rock Road and Ackerman Avenue; Rescue 834 and Fair Lawn Co. No. 4 responded and found a transformer on a utility pole on fire, authorities said.

PSE&G personnel were called to the scene and put the fire out using a portable fire extinguisher, authorities said.
