Make New Year's Eve fun and memorable this year - right in your own back yard.

Bergen County Rings in 2013 with a Bang

2012's holiday season is almost up – do you know how you're spending the rest of it? If not, don't fret! We at Patch are here to help you with the big finale: New Year's Eve.

You could go to Times Square with one million of your closest friends, but why deal with traffic, or hotel reservations, or finding a bathroom, when there are plenty of great things happening right here in Bergen County?

Here are a few special events happening right in our own back yard. Skip the crowds. In some cases skip the late-night driving. And finish off the year with a safe, fun, and happy bang!

Feathers Club77 Kinderkamack Road, River Edge. 201-342-6410.

River Edge's own gay club will be open from 9pm to 4am as Juliette Jolie Vizcaya and DJ John Rizzo will lead the NYE Extravaganza festivities. A $20 cover will get you the door, a hot buffet and discounted drinks until midnight, a free champagne toast at midnight, and even a continental breakfast.

Mexicali Live1409 Queen Anne Road, Teaneck. 201-833-0011.

Doors open for a full buffet dinner from 8 to 10pm for $50 (package one) and at 10pm for $25 (package two) for the Lifespeed performance, a hard rock cover group which has branched out to include 80s new wave, hip-hop, and pop classics.

The Cottage Bar, 178 Cedar Lane, Teaneck. 201-692-0016.
