Free Performance by RDHS Drama Club Tonight

There will be no door fee for the performance, instead the group asks that audience members bring a donation for the Red Cross

Free Performance by RDHS Drama Club Tonight

After last weekends performances of the River Dell Drama Club's fall production, " 44 Plays for 44 Presidents" was cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy, club advisor Desiree Ferrandi announced that the group will present the show on Wednesday evening, free of charge to all residents.

"The RD Drama Club was supposed to do our play on Nov. 2 and 3 but obviously that was not possible," Ferrandi wrote in an email. "We are opening the doors for free and asking that everyone in our communities come out to warm up, enjoy the efforts of these resilient high schools students, and finally, bring a donation for the local RED CROSS chapter."

The one-night only performance will be held in the High School Auditorium at 7pm.

44 Plays for 44 Presidents is a 2-hour show comprised of short, biographical scenes highlighting the lives of all the American presidents.

Act one will take audience members from the beginning with George Washington through the Civil War. The second act picks up with the assassination of William McKinley and will conclude with the election of Barack Obama to the White House.

Tickets for the River Dell drama club productions are normally $10 but the group is asking that if audience members wish to give money, that they do so to the Red Cross to help the hurricane victims.
