SECAUCUS, NJ — A car and entire home were destroyed by a massive fire early Thursday morning at the corner of Koelle Blvd. and Huber Street in Secaucus.
The fire broke out around 2:30 a.m. and grew so large that mutual aid from surrounding towns had to be called in.
The house is located right at the corner of Koelle and Huber, said Secaucus Mayor Mike Gonnelli. He said that renters lived there and everyone escaped the burning home safely.

"We don't know how the fire started yet and they are on the scene investigating right now," said Gonnelli Thursday morning. "We'll know more later today. The fire was going through the roof; there was no way we could get inside to attack it."
When Secaucus' all-volunteer firefighters got there, the home was fully engulfed in flames. However, they were able to prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring homes.
