BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A tractor-trailer caught fire on the southbound New Jersey Turnpike in Ridgefield Park Tuesday afternoon.
The tractor-trailer was "fully engulfed in flames," near mile marker 118, said State Trooper Alejandro Goez.
Authorities are investigated what caused the fire, Goez said. The southbound side was closed for about an hour while local firefighters extinguished the blaze.

Traffic was backed up for miles while firefighters tried to extinguish the flames, Daily Voice reported. The flames could be seen for miles, according to the report.
