South Brunswick Announces Curbside Brush Recycling

South Brunswick Announces Curbside Brush Recycling

South Brunswick officials say Midco Waste will be performing curbside brush recycling collection.

Officials say it's "essential" that materials be prepared as instructed or materials will not be picked up.

Brush must be less than 4 feet and securely tied in bundles easily handled by one person; no more than 50 pounds.

ALL brush must be curbside by 6:30 am on Monday, May 5, 2014 in order to receive collection.

Material placed curbside after that date will NOT be collected.

NOTE: Pick up will begin on May 5 and may take more than one week to complete.

Included in the special pick up are:

          •        Brush, branches, shrubs, bushes that are less than 4 feet in length and less                       than 5 inches in diameter.  They MUST BE SECURELY TIED in bundles less                    than 50 pounds.  Place curbside, NOT in the street.

          •        Twigs and small branches that are less than 4 feet may be placed in a can.

Officials also said:

NO BAGS. Place curbside, NOT in the street.

No BAGS, leaves, weeds, stumps, litter or garbage will be collected as part of this program.

Residents missing this curbside collection deadline MUST recycle their brush by delivering it to the Township’s Brush Drop Off Area behind Sondek Park, Monday through Saturday 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Brush is mandated for recycling by Middlesex County and therefore will NOT be collected with the garbage
