Bergen Man Downloaded Images Of Child Exploitation: Prosecutor
Jose Vega, 70, was arrested at his Lodi home Friday morning, authorities said.

Authorities found images of child exploitation on a Bergen County man's computer and arrested him Friday morning, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said.
Jose Vega, 70, of Lodi, was arrested following an investigation by the prosecutor's office Computer Crimes Unit, Grewal said in a news release.
Authorities seized items that contained images and videos depicting child exploitation, Grewal said.

The investigation later revealed that Vega used the internet to download the images, the prosecutor stated.
Vega was charged with endangering the welfare of a child for possessing the images.

Superior Court Judge Margaret Foti set Vega's bail at $50,000, with a 10 percent cash option, Grewal stated.
Vega was remanded to the Bergen County Jail in lieu of bail pending an appearance in Bergen County Municipal Court Sept. 21 at 8:30 a.m., authorities said.
