$1M Powerball Ticket Sold In N.J. As Jackpot Swells To $292M

A Powerball ticket was sold in New Jersey that's worth $1 million as the jackpot is now up to $292 million.

Someone in New Jersey got lucky this weekend. But not as lucky as someone might get during the next drawing.

A $1 million winning Powerball ticket was sold in New Jersey for the Saturday drawing. The jackpot is now up to $292 million, lottery officials said. The next drawing is Wednesday.

The ticket matched five white balls drawn Saturday, according to lottery officials. The numbers were 10, 11, 21, 22 and 53.

If the ticket had the Powerball of 18, the ticket-holder would have won what was then the $266 million jackpot.

The winning ticket was purchased in Morris County at Lake Parsippany General Store, 171 Kingston Rd., in Parsippany. If the ticket had been purchased with Powerplay, it would have been worth $2 million.

In addition, three New Jersey third-prizewinning tickets were sold that matched four white balls and the Powerball to win $50,000 each. If those tickets had been purchased with the Powerplay option, they would have been worth $150,000.

The winning tickets were sold at the following locations:

  • Hudson County at Hanh Van LLC, 117 Brunswick St., Jersey City
  • Middlesex County at Street Corner News, 755 Rt. 18 So., East Brunswick
  • Morris County at Quick Chek #40, 150 Rt. 206, Chester.

Moreover, 43,331 New Jersey players took home an estimated $233,076 in prizes ranging from $4 to $300, according to Lottery Executive Director CaroleHedinger.

“Congratulations to these fortunate lottery players who purchased the winning tickets,” said Hedinger. “These lucky players now join the growing ranks of New Jersey Powerball winners.”

The jackpot for Wednesday’s drawing rolls over to $191.9 million for the cash option. Tickets sold in Texas and Wisconsin also won $1 million each during Saturday’s drawing.

No one won the Mega Millions jackpot, either. That jackpot now stands at $135 million, or $88 million cash.
