Beachwood Police Seek Leads In July 4th Hit-And-Run

Beachwood, NJ -- Beachwood police are seeking the public's help in locating a sport utility vehicle that struck a teenager in the borough on Monday evening.

In a post on Facebook, the Beachwood Police Department said the 17-year-old girl was hit about 9:45 p.m. on July 4 by a white SUV that then fled east on Beachwood Boulevard toward the water.

The teen was taken by ambulance to Community Medical Center, Toms River, for treatment, the post said.

Any witnesses or those with information on the hit-and-run is asked to contact Sgt. Melillo of the Traffic Safety Division, 732-286-6000 ext 105.

Beachwood police shared a photo of a white SUV they believe is the type involved in the hit-and-run.
