Have You Seen This Man? Toms River Police Seek Suspect In Kohl's Jeans Theft

Toms River police are searching for a man who walked out of the Kohl’s in the Toms River Shopping Plaza with 20 pairs of jeans on Monday without paying for them.

Department spokesman Ralph Stocco said police were called to the store about 3:20 p.m. on Monday. Loss prevention officers told Toms River Police Officers Joshua Pedalino and Joshua Kuhlwein that they observed the black man on video surveillance putting 20 pairs of jeans into a shopping cart, then pushing the cart out of the store.

The man approached a newer-model black four-door sedan with temporary New Jersey plates and put the entire cart into the car’s trunk, then got into the passenger seat and the car fled east on Route 37, Stocco said.

The jeans are valued at $1,200, Stocco said.
