Another generation of bald eagle is circling the communications tower near Kettle Creek, where a nest has been home since early 2011.

Toms River resident Donna McKnight says she's been watching the nest and saw the youngest addition trying out his wings Sunday morning.

"I was fortunate enough, to see the baby eagle learning how to fly today," she said yesterday. "He didn't go far, just up and down, 10 to 15 feet."

She caught the young eagle with its wings outstretched, emerging from the nest and catching the Sunday breeze.

"The wind was just perfect for him," said McKnight.
