School Bus Fire In Jackson Impacting Traffic: Witness

If you travel Whitesville Road from Toms River or Manchester north, detours were affecting traffic, the witness said.

JACKSON, NJ -- A fire that charred a small school bus in Jackson Friday morning was impacting travel in the area, according to a witness.

The witness said the bus was the kind used to transport special needs students, and was sitting on Hope Chapel Road not far from the intersection with Whitesville Road.

Hope Chapel Road was closed, and nearby roads were affected as well.

A report by J-Town Magazine on its Facebook page said the bus was not a Jackson Township school bus; it was not known which district it was from, however.

The J-Town Magazine report said there were no injuries reported.
