Theft From Vehicles Reported in East Dover

The overnight burglary of vehicles in East Dover has police asking for public input.

Toms River Police Captain Steven Henry said at two vehicles left unlocked had items stolen from them on Oct. 7. Henry did not say what was taken or its value.

Henry said the burglaries occurred overnight. The two incidents were both reported by residents on Senaroth Court, off Garfield Avenue.

Henry encouraged residents to report any tips that could aid in the open investigation.

"Anyone with information regarding these or similar events in the East Dover area are asked to contact Detective Roger Hull," he said. Hull can be reached at 732-349-0150 ext. 1291.

Previously Police Chief Michael Mastronardy encouraged residents to secure doors and windows to vehicles and residences, in a message to residents hoping to deter crime.
