Toms River Announces Holiday Trash, Recycling Schedules

TOMS RIVER, NJ — The holidays will be disrupting garbage and recycling collection for Toms River residents over the next two weeks, township officials announced.

The township's Department of Public Works will be closed on Monday, Dec. 26 in observance of Christmas and on Monday, Jan. 2, for New Year’s Day.

There will be no sanitation and recycling collections and the Recycling Convenience Center will be closed, officials said.

All sanitation and recycling collections are postponed one day throughout both weeks with Friday’s sanitation being picked up on Saturday.
