Local Student Lands Internship At National Federation of Republican Women
Hayley Conklin of Bloomingdale will participate in the Dorothy Andrews Kabis Memorial Internship program after having interned with Mitt Romney, Gov. Chris Christie and the New Jersey Republican State Committee.
The National Federation of Republican Women announced Tuesday that Hayley Conklin, a political science and economics student, has been selected for the Dorothy Andrews Kabis Memorial Internship, named after the foundation's former president-turned-U.S.-Treasurer under President Nixon.
Conklin has a long history of campaign involvement for notable Republican candidates and organizations, including interning for New Jersey Republican State Committee, Romney for President and Gov. Chris Christie's reelection campaign.
"We are confident Hayley will bring her dynamic and vibrant talents to our organization," NFRW President Kathy Brugger said. "This is a wonderful opportunity for her to experience all Washington, D.C., has to offer, to meet other interns, and to gain invaluable insight into the election process and grassroots political activism."
