Tri-Boro residents could be without power for a while longer.
Butler Electric is working feverishly to restore service to areas with large numbers of outages.
Restoration could take 5 to 7 more days, Kinnelon's Office of Emergency Management said Wednesday morning.
Crews are making "great progress" clearing debris and restoring wires, however the feeder from JCP&L is still uncertain, the OEM statement said.
Even when power is restored, gas and fuel will continue to be an issue as local refineries are under water, the OEM statement said.
Most residents have been without power since a feeder line failure in Butler Monday.
Once JCP&L restores power to the Butler sub-stations a large majority of Butler Electric customers will have power.
