Cancer Support Community Central New Jersey hosting T-Shirt Design Contest

Cancer Support Community Central New Jersey hosting T-Shirt Design Contest
Cancer Support Community Central New Jersey (CSCCNJ) is running a t-shirt design contest in preparation for their fifth annual Wings of Hope event on Saturday, June 7, 2014.  Wings of Hope is a free event open to the public in honor of National Cancer Survivors Day®.  Wings of Hope for CSCCNJ is a celebration for cancer survivors, an inspiration for those just beginning their cancer journey, a gathering of support for all those affected by cancer and an outreach to the Central New Jersey community.  The event culminates in the release of nearly 150 majestic monarch butterflies to symbolize the “Wings of Hope.”

Students ages 6 – 18 are encouraged to submit artwork that depicts what Wings of Hope means to them.  The artwork, due by Monday, March 31, 2014 to jalfrey@cancersupportcnj.org, must be an 8 ½” by 11” black and white line drawing in pencil or marker (digital art is also accepted).  Along with the artwork, students must submit their name, age, school and an explanation of their artwork.

The artwork will be posted to the CSCCNJ Facebook page by April 4, 2014, when voting will begin. Two winners will be chosen – one from the elementary students for the youth t-shirt and one from the middle school/high school students for the adult t-shirt.  The winner of the youth t-shirt contest will receive a shirt and a $25 Visa Gift Card.  The winner of the adult t-shirt contest will receive a shirt and a $50 Visa Gift Card.
