In years past, the township board of education would begin its new year at the end of April.
But since the switch to electing school board members in November, the board now sets its schedules and appointments in January. Last week, the Watchung Hills Regional board held its; tonight, it's the township board's turn.
After winning seats in November, Desiree DeNourie and Gregory Steier will join Kathy Helewa in taking the oath of office for three-year terms. It's the first time for DeNourie and Steier, but Helewa is returning after finishing the term of Patricia Toubin. Gone will be Sue Burman and Gregory Przybylski, who both completed two terms on the board.
We'll bring coverage of the meeting, including who is elected board president for 2013, following the meeting.
