Body ID'd At Green Brook Gardens Apartments
A Plainfield woman was identified as the victim and the cause of death is unknown at this time, North Plainfield Police Chief Parenti said.

NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ — Authorities have identified a body reportedly found in the parking lot of an apartment complex in North Plainfield on Wednesday.
Tracy M. Knight, 50, described as a black woman from Plainfield was identified as the victim, North Plainfield Police Chief William Parenti told Patch.
A call to police reporting the discovery of the body in the parking lot of the Green Brook Gardens apartment complex off Rock Avenue and Route 22 at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 27.

The body was sent to the medical examiner to determine a cause of death, Parenti said.
The Somerset County Prosecutor's Office is assisting in the investigation.

"Ongoing investigation," Jack Bennett, spokesman for the SCPO told Patch.
"At this time we are still investigating," Parenti said. "We don't know how she died. We don't know if it was criminal or a cold night and she died of natural causes."
