WATCH: Video Shows Parents Suspected Of Kidnapping Son, Ready For 'Adventure'

Michael and Amy Streko do not have legal custody of their 8-year-old son, Everett. Now they're suspected of kidnapping him.

Michael Streko sat alongside his 8-year-old son and the boy’s mother, Amy, as they prepped for their cross-country video trip called, ā€œOn the road with the Strekos.ā€ Then he looked at a camera.

ā€œWe want to take you on an adventure,ā€ Michael Streko says in the video, which was posted for what was supposed to be a Kickstarter-funded project.

Now that ā€œKickstarterā€ fundraising page is gone. The family has disappeared. And that piece of video could be evidence since the 8-year-old boy has been missing since Thursday, and local law enforcement and the State Police are asking for the public’s assistance.

Michael and Amy Streko did not have custody of Everett. But they looked like a happy family when they announced their ā€œOn the road with the Strekosā€ project and posted on Facebook in May. The three planned to travel America, selling food from their RV and interviewing people while raising money to fund the trip through ā€œKickstarter.ā€

ā€œI just know from past experience that we we’re going to have try it out,ā€ Amy Streko said in the video, appearing reluctant to take this trip.

The Kickstarter campaign never materialized, the fundraising page was taken down and several sites tracking Kickstarters say it raised $577 of its $25,000 goal, according to nj.com.

On Friday morning, the grandmother noticed that her daughter-in-law, Amy Streko, 32, was missing along with Everett and all of the child’s personal belongings, according to the SCPO. Streko was also living at the King Court residence.

The grandmother notified the Green Brook Police Department of her missing grandson at noon Friday.

The child’s biological father, Michael Streko, had an address registered at 331 West Sylvania Avenue, in Neptune. A search of the Neptune residence yielded no results.

The investigation thus far has revealed that Michael Streko moved all his belongings from the Neptune residence on Thursday at approximately 1 p.m. and his whereabouts are unknown.

Michael Streko is known to operate a 1997 White/Blue Winnebago bearing N.J. registration X72-FNK. Amy Streko is known to operate a 2007 Grey 4 door Ford Focus bearing N.J. registration Y96-FHN.

The New Jersey State Police Missing Person Unit has assisted in this investigation.

Michael and Amy Streko are in violation of a court order and are wanted for child interference.
