1980s Music, MTV And Run DMC Take Center Stage At North Jersey Concert
Darryl McDaniels and a full band will perform hits from the decade. Songs from Whitney Houston, Prince and Journey will be played.

WAYNE, N.J. — Totally awesome music from the 1980s will be performed at the "I Want My '80s: The Best Of MTV's Early Years" at William Paterson University March 24.
Original MTV VJ Mark Goodman will be the emcee.
Special guest Darryl McDaniels of Run DMC and a Wayne resident will perform with WPU alumnus Rob Fusari and a band of all university students.

Music by Whitney Houston, Prince, Bruce Springsteen, Journey and Michael Jackson will be performed.
McDaniels is concerned a pioneer of hip-hop culture. Run DMC has sold more than 30 million singles and albums and was the first rap group to earn a gold, platinum and multi-platinum album.

The concert is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $25, $20 for William Paterson alumni and $10 for students. Proceeds will benefit the William Paterson Music Department Scholarship Fund.
