BC Protect & Rescue a non-profit, no-kill, volunteer shelter located at 302 2nd St., Cliffside Park, New Jersey wishes to say thank you to Dr. Dean Cerf and Associates for once again opening up their veterinary hospital to help homeless animals find their forever home at this annual adoption event.  It was a beautiful day and so many non-profit organizations came out in hope to find loving homes for their animals.  Visitors came from all areas of North Jersey in search of their new best friend.

BC Protect & Rescue opened its doors in August 2012 in which it quickly participated in this special event.  “Each time we participate, we end up with many wonderful adoptions”, states Humane Enforcement Agent and founder of BC Protect & Rescue, Vincent Ascolese.  “Dr. Cerf has helped so many shelters and rescue organizations with finding animals their forever homes that would otherwise have been euthanized at high kill shelters.  We are forever grateful for his major roll in helping homeless animals”.

This year, BC Protect & Rescue was able to find loving homes for two puppies, two young adult dogs and one kitten.  Bergen County Protect & Rescue serves ten locations and takes in animals from other towns that need help, in addition to rescuing from high kill shelters.  Currently, monthly costs range about $10,000 a month for maintenance of the shelter, food and veterinarian care.

BC Protect & Rescue is always looking for dedicated volunteers to help in various ways.   One can contact the shelter at 201-945-0649 or if interested in adopting, please download our volunteer application that is found on our website at www.BCRescues.org.  Find us on Facebook at facebook.com/bcrescues.   A current listing of our adoptions are located on Petfinder at petfinder.com.  We have many loving animals looking for their forever home.
