Body Found In Passaic County Park Friday: Prosecutor

Authorities found a body at Long Pond Ironworks State Park in West Milford Friday, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said.

Personnel from the prosecutor's office responded to a call from the New Jersey State Park Police that a body had been found at the Long Pond Ironworks State Park in West Milford, Valdes said.

The body was reported at about 11:45 a.m. and pulled from the water at about 4 p.m.; Valdes would not say if the body was a man's or a woman's.

Authorities are investigating the matter. Further details will be provided as they become available, Valdes said.
