Boy Found Dead At Passaic County Reservoir, Investigation Continues

WOODLAND PARK, NJ — A boy who went missing at the Great Notch Reservoir was found dead Sunday morning. The 15-year-old Paterson resident was reported missing Saturday, prompting a search of the Great Notch Reservoir.
First-responding divers found the teen's body at about 10 a.m. Sunday, according to Woodland Park Mayor Keith Kazmark. Officials opted against publicly identifying the victim "out of respect and privacy of the family," the mayor said.
"The investigation into what led to this will continue in the coming days," Kazmark said.

The teen was reported missing at about 3:45 p.m. Saturday. Local, county and state officials conducted a search until nightfall and resumed efforts at 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
According to the preliminary investigation, the boy visited the park with friends Saturday and was last seen in the reservoir, according to nj.com. The victim went swimming but never came out of the water, northjersey.com reported.
