Tom and Josephine Acquaviva were randomly chosen to attend hearings. Their son Paul was killed in the World Trade Center terrorist attack on 9/11.

Couple Forced To Leave Cuba After Hearings Postponed

A Wayne couple was expected to be to face this week with the men accused of murdering their son Paul in the 9/11 terrorist attacks but the military hearings they were in Cuba to attend were cancelled, NorthJersey.com is reporting.

Tom and Josephine Acquaviva were one of nine couples . The hearings were cancelled due to Tropical Storm Isaac approaching Cuba.

The Acquaviva's son Paul was 29 when he died. He was one of seven Wayne residents who were killed on 9/11. Robert Deraney, Jean Caviasco DePalma, Daniel Afflitto, Barry Glick, Leo Roberts and Gregg John Froehner .

The Paul Acquaviva Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a senior every year. Acquaviva was an alumnus of the school.
