House Fire Kills 1, Hospitalizes 3 In Passaic County
Seven of the eight occupants in the home were able to escape, officials said.
PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — A woman is dead, and three other people are injured following a residential fire in Passaic County on Friday morning, authorities said.
At around 6:30 a.m., first responders were called to 30 Peters Mine Road in Ringwood on a report of a house fire.
Police said that the home was occupied by eight people, seven of whom were able to escape.

Three of the residents who escaped were taken to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for unspecified injuries.
One resident, a 74-year-old woman, was not able to escape and died in the blaze, officials said.

It’s not clear at this time what started the fire.
