Prosecutor said there are no 'obvious' signs 22-year-old Devin O'Keefe was intoxicated at the time of the accident.

Crash Victim's Toxicology Report Still Pending

Officials are waiting on a toxicology report from the state Medical Examiner’s office on a 22-year-old Park Ridge who was killed in a car accident last week.

Devin O'Keefe was killed in an accident on Valley Road last week when the Acura he was driving crossed over to the southbound lane and crashed into a BMW, Wayne Police said.

Paramedics from St. Joseph's Hospital and the Wayne First Aid Squad rendered aid to Okeefe, but he died from his injuries at the scene.

Sumana Mitra, the senior assistant prosecutor in charge of vehicular homicide said that the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Wayne Police Department are still investigating the accident.

“We are waiting for the toxicology report and sometimes it takes a couple of months to get one,” Mitra said.

Mitra also said there was no “obvious” signs of that O'Keefe was intoxicated and that investigators are still trying to determine what caused the crash.

The driver of the BMW, Dominick Capone, 20, of Woodland Park, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital and treated for minor injuries.
