Women who admitted to diverting insurance checks from their dentist employer to a private account have already started paying back the money, report says.

Report: Wayne Woman Who Admittedly Stole $200K Avoids Jail Time

Two former dental office employees will avoid jail time, partially because they have already started paying back the $200,000 they admittedly stole from their employer, NorthJersey.com reported.

In March, Arlene Marchese, 35, of Wayne and Karen Wright, 44, of Wyckoff, admitted that between 2005 and 2011 they received reimbursement checks from insurance companies. Instead of depositing them in Dr. Dominick Lembo's Haledon dental office's bank account, they kept the payments for their own personal use, the report said.

On Friday, a superior court judged sentenced both women to five years' probation, and set up a payment plan that will see them pay back the rest of the $200,000, the report said.

According to the report, Lembo spoke at the sentencing Friday, saying he felt 'raped' by the two longtime employees, who received 'handsome' bonuses and at least five vacations while they were working for him.
