School Bus Crashes After Driver's Medical Episode In Passaic Co.: Cops
A bus crashed into a utility pole, shutting down a residential roadway, police said.
PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — A school bus crash has led to hours of delays on a Passaic County street on Thursday, police said.
On Thursday afternoon, a school bus driver suffered a medical episode while driving and crashed into a utility pole in Haledon, according to police.
The crash took place on Church Street between Haledon and Richard avenues. The area is closed as the crash is cleaned and repairs are made.

No children were on the bus during the collision, just the driver and a bus aide.
Both occupants were taken to a hospital for evaluation. It's not clear what prompted the medical episode at this time.

Police, fire, and PSE&G officials are working on repairs and clean-up at this time, and there is no timeframe for when the road will reopen.
Authorities ask that drivers use alternate routes at this time.
