Wright was found to be in possession of 34 bags of heroin, 13 suboxone strips, one bag of cocaine, one bag of marijuana, and two xanax pills.

On April 11 at 10:30 p.m., a West Deptford police officer observed a 2014 black Chevy Impala commit several motor vehicle offenses in the area of Tatum and Walnut streets. He followed the vehicle to the Heritage Dairy Store on North Broad Street in Woodbury, where he approached the vehicle’s occupants and identified himself as a police officer.

Both occupants allegedly ignored him and attempted to go into the store. Eventually, the passenger returned to the car, but the driver, Wright fled across Walnut Street into the rear entrance of a home.

During the foot chase, the officer noticed Wright discarding a ziplock bag containing the previously mentioned drugs.

He was eventually captured in a rear yard at Hess and Frances Avenues by West Deptford and Woodbury Police.

Wright was lodged in the Salem County Correctional Facility in lieu of $105,000 full cash bail.
