Knoblock to Sign with Towson University

Megan Knoblock will accept a track and field scholarship to the Maryland school during a letter of intent signing ceremony on Feb. 6.

Knoblock to Sign with Towson University

With standout student-athletes  and Rory Bonner already signing letters of intent earlier in this year, Megan Knoblock will get her day in the spotlight this month.

Knoblock will continue her athletic career in track and field for Towson University in Maryland, West Deptford Athletic Director Timothy Cammarota announced.

While it is an exciting day for students and parents, it is equally exciting for the school and the township watch as their star athletes go on to accomplish great things in their college and professional career. Knoblock will have a chance to celebrate with everyone at her letter of intent signing on Feb. 6 at 9 a.m. in the West Deptford High School. Feb. 6 is National Signing Day for student-athletes.

Knoblock has demonstrated her ability in basketball, club soccer and track. She currently holds the school record at 3,000 meters and 2,000 meters steeplechase outdoors. Last summer, she also competed in the Junior Olympics in Baltimore. Placing seventh, she gained All-American status in the Young Women’s final, finishing the 1,500 in almost five minutes flat and beating her current best time of 5:07.39.

Knoblock comes from a line of athleticism. Her grandfather Browning Ross—a Woodbury native—is a former U.S. Olympian.
