A motorcyclist is dead after a head-on crash with a car at Grove Road and Kings Highway Friday morning.

Wayne E. Worman, 60, of Woodbury Heights, was rushed to Underwood-Memorial Hospital after the crash, which happened just after 7 a.m. near the Dunkin' Donuts on Kings Highway, and was pronounced dead at the hospital at 7:45 a.m., West Deptford police said.

Worman was heading south on Kings Highway, police said, when his SYM motorcycle collided with a gray Nissan Maxima driven by Michael E. Dickerson, 54, of Clarksboro, who was making a left turn on to Grove Road.

Worman was thrown from his cycle and landed in the roadway, police said. Dickerson was also hurt in the crash, according to police, and was treated at Underwood-Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.

No charges have been issued in the crash, police said, and the accident is still under investigation. Anyone who was in the area at the time of the crash is asked to call West Deptford Ptl. James Loomis, the investigating officer, at 856-853-4599, x401.

The crash is the first fatal accident in West Deptford in 2012, and the first since .
