Police ID Dead Body Inside Tanker Trailer In Union County

Breaking: Police have identified the man found inside of a tanker trailer at Linden Bulk Transport as being from Fords.

LINDEN, NJ — Authorities have identified the dead body found inside a tanker trailer on Wednesday afternoon at Linden Bulk Transport.

Tengo Paone, 43, of Fords was identified as the victim. The circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation, though investigators do not suspect foul play, Linden Police reported.

Linden Police and Fire Units responded to 4200 Trempley Point Road on a report of an unconscious man inside of a tanker trailer.

A confined space rescue was performed by members of the Linden Fire Department, with assistance from Union County Hazmat and the Elizabeth Fire Department.

The man who was pronounced deceased at the scene, police report.

The circumstances surrounding this incident are under investigation by the Linden Police Detective Bureau and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
