Police in Mountainside said the fire, and resulting road closure, caused major traffic delays on surrounding streets.

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ — All lanes of U.S. 22 westbound have reopened, after an earlier truck fire caused lane closures and heavy traffic in the Mountainside area on Wednesday.
Westbound traffic was detoured for about two hours, according to 511NJ.org, which reported the fire was between Scotch Plains and Mountainside.
Police in Mountainside said the vehicle fire was near Route 22 and Glenside Avenue, and the road closure caused major traffic delays on surrounding streets.
