Katlyn Chookagian, one the top women’s amateur mixed martial arts fighters in the country, is turning professional, and a large part of her success comes from her training at a gym in Kenilworth, according to nj.com.

Chookagian’s coach Jamal Patterson, a former mixed martial arts fighter himself, has his protege doing a good portion of her workouts at the Allstar BJJ/MMA gym on Swenson Drive. MMA is an acronym for mixed martial arts, while BJJ stands for Brazilian Jiujitsu, according to nj.com.
