On Sunday, February 17, the Westfield Art Association (WAA) will host a presentation by Don Polzo, BS, MS, on the transition from classical to digital photography. Mr. Polzo teaches many digital media courses, including advanced Adobe Photoshop techniques, at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey in Summit where he is the Digital Media Coordinator and has served as a member of the teaching faculty since 2003. He also teaches digital workshops throughout New Jersey.
The Rochester Institute of Technology awarded Mr. Polzo a Certificate in Photographic Science and he has been recognized by Nikon Small World. His professional memberships include the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP), the Society of Photographic Educators (SPE) and the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP). In 2009, Mr. Polzo became an Adobe Certified Expert in Photoshop.
Mr. Polzo’s prints have been widely exhibited, including at the Visual Arts Center in Summit, Gallery 214 in Montclair, the Hunterdon Museum of Art, the Ringwood Art Association, Phillips Mill in New Hope, SOHO Photo Gallery in NYC and at MOMA in “Life of the City”. His photographs have appeared in numerous publications, including the New York Times, the Newark Star-Ledger, the Westfield Herald and The Works Magazine of Rhode Island.

The meeting will be held from 1:00 – 3:30 PM on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the Community Room of the Westfield Municipal Building, 425 East Broad Street, Westfield, NJ. The Community Room is handicapped-accessible. Admission is free and the presentation is open to the public.
