A grand jury has decided not to indict a West Orange teacher accused in February of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl, according to publications.
Washington School teacher, Christopher Yonitch, 36, of Livingston,
was arrested Feb. 7 on charges of sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, according to officials at the Essex County Prosecutor's Office.
According to NJ.com, a grand jury "no billed" the case Friday, in a decision to not indict the teacher.
was suspended with pay in early February. A certified teacher replaced Yonitch for the remainder of the school year.
Interim superintendent James O'Neill told the publication, Yonitch could be back to teaching by February. He also said the district would conduct its own investigation.
