NY Giants' Justin Tuck: I Hope the Super Bowl Gets Snowed Out

Defensive end pulling for enough snow to call off the Big Game at MetLife Stadium since his team won't be there.

NY Giants' Justin Tuck: I Hope the Super Bowl Gets Snowed Out

Snow started falling in Northern Jersey Thursday night, one month nearly right to the minute before the kickoff of Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium.

It's the first time the Super Bowl will be played in an outdoor stadium in a cold-weather region, which has drawn widespread criticism.

Meanwhile, New York Giants' star defensive end Justin Tuck joked the game shouldn't even happen because his team won't be playing, according to ESPN.

"I say you have to pick an underdog team. Somebody who's getting hot and healthy at the right time. I tell you who could make a run, even though I would hate it if they did because I can't stand them, is the Eagles. They're playing good defense, too," Tuck said.

"But I hope it gets canceled, because we can't be in it. I hope it snows 19 inches every day for a whole month starting Feb. 1 and they can't play the game. That's what I would like to see."

Both of the Giants’ recent Super Bowl wins came on runs where they got hot at the right time. It’s understandable that Tuck would take the position of rooting for the “hot” team, but to root for the game to cancelled completely, that’s another story.
