Dead Body Found In River Near Garden State Parkway

Police could not say whether the man jumped from the bridge prior to his death.

A deceased man was found floating in the Raritan River Saturday night near the Garden State Parkway’s Driscoll Bridge, police said.

The body was discovered by the Woodbridge Police Department at approximately 10 p.m, said Sgt. Jeff Flynn, spokesman for the New Jersey State Police, as quoted in an nj.com report.

After Woodbridge Police spotted the body floating, they called State Police, according to app.com.

The body was retrieved and was not identified before it was turned over to the Middlesex County Medical Examiner’s Office, the report said.
