48th Annual Country Fair This Weekend in Wyckoff

Fair is set to include games, electronic rides, pony rides, paint a pumpkin, make your own scarecrow, food, a DJ, and a bake off.

The Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat is hosting its 48th Annual Country Fair in Wyckoff this weekend. According to a recent release about the event from the ECCR, this year’s fair will be jam packed with events for the whole family.

The fair will include games, electronic rides, pony rides, paint a pumpkin, make your own scarecrow, food, a live DJ, and over 80 local vendors selling arts, crafts, clothing, jewelry, and more.

And, visitors can expect some sweet treats with the Second Annual Country Fair Bake Off, to be judged by local experts MaryLou Triana, owner of Kilwin’s in Wyckoff, Lee Tremble, owner of The Iron Horse in Westwood, Judy Abma of Abma’s Farm, and Wyckoff Committeeman Kevin Rooney, who recently won Food Network’s “Chopped-Untrained, Undaunted” competition.

Local professional bakers will submit 12 mini cupcakes in the flavor, texture and artistic design of their choice to be judged by the panel.

Attendees will take part in judging the Second Annual Home Bakers Cookie Competition, voting during the fair to decide the best cookie recipe entered.

There is no entry fee to go to the fair, but money raised during it will benefit the ECCR, a non-profit that provides residential programs and services for individuals with disabilities. The fair is the Retreat’s largest fundraiser of the year.

Check out the flier above for more information about the Fair, coming to Wyckoff’s Memorial Field from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday.
