Franklin Lakes Woman Charged With DWI, Police Say

Vehicle the woman was driving was allegedly swerving on Route 208 early Sunday morning, authorities say.

WYCKOFF, NJ - A Franklin Lakes woman was charged with driving while intoxicated early Sunday morning.

Wyckoff police received a report of a possible drunk driver on Route 208 at 12:01 a.m. Sunday, said Chief Benjamin C. Fox.

Sgt. Michael Ragucci waited at Route 208 and Russell Avenue and saw a vehicle matching the description allegedly swerving on the highway, Fox said.

The vehicle was stopped and the driver, Lissette Garcia, 37, of Franklin Lakes, was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a breath test, failure to maintain her lane of travel, and reckless driving, Fox said. She was released to her husband. She is scheduled to appear in Wyckoff Municipal Court on Wednesday.
