Bergen Man Pleads Guilty To Murdering Former Beauty Pageant Contestant
Mark J. Spatucci admitted murdering Mary Greff with the couple's infant son in the room.

The boyfriend of a former beauty pageant contestant plead guilty Friday to murdering the Waldwick woman in October 2013, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced.
Mark J. Spatucci plead guilty to a murder charge before Judge Christopher Kazlau and to a charge of hindering apprehension by way of destroying or concealing evidence, Grewal announced.
Spatucci was accused of killing Mary Greff while the couple's 10-month-old infant was in a bassinet and her parents asleep in their Bergen County home. He was also charged with felony murder, burglary, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Authorities found Spatucci late Wednesday in Midland Park, authorities said.
Greff was training to a be server at the Tilted Kilt restaurant in Wayne when she was killed. The restaurant set up a scholarship fund for Greff's son when she died.

The state will recommend a sentence of 45 years in state prison. Spatucci must serve 85 percent of the sentence before he is eligible for parole and will be subject to five years of supervised release.
Sentencing is scheduled for July 15 with Kazlau.
