Wyckoff Doctor Discovers Prescription Fraud, Police Say

A prescription for 30 Percocet pills was used at a Wyckoff pharmacy, authorities said.

WYCKOFF, NJ - A woman was charged with theft and forgery following a township physician’s discovery that fraudulent prescriptions had been written using her name, police said.

The physician discovered through a prescription audit that fraudulent prescriptions had been written using her name, said Chief Benjamin C. Fox.

Authorities investigated and determined that at least one prescription for 30 Percocet pills was used at a Wyckoff pharmacy, Fox said.

Police arrested Kathleen P. Sudol, 47, of West Milford, an employee at the doctor’s office, after interviewing her.

In addition to theft and forgery, Sudol was charged with obtaining a controlled dangerous substance by fraud. The complaints against her have been referred to Bergen County Superior Court, Fox said.
