Man in Wheelchair Struck, Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver in West Babylon
Police are looking for a vehicle with front-end damage following crash Friday night.

A West Babylon man in a wheelchair was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in West Babylon Friday night, police said.
According to police, Michael Dora, 40, was in his wheelchair in the right lane of southbound Great East Neck Road when he was struck by a southbound vehicle near Nill Street at about 9:15 p.m.
Dora was transported via ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The vehicle involved is believed to be dark in color, possibly a Nissan, with front-end damage, police said.
The investigation is continuing and detectives are asking anyone who has information or may have witnessed the crash to contact the Vehicular Crime Unit at 631-852-6555 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
