Suffolk Couple Had Loaded Guns, Drugs in Their 4-Year-Old Son's Bedroom: Police
BREAKING: Police responded to their apartment after a gun was fired during an argument on Christmas Eve, police say.
SMITHTOWN, NY – A Smithtown couple was arrested after police found loaded guns and drugs in their 4-year-old son's bedroom on Christmas Eve, police said.
According to police, a resident of Avalon Circle in the Avalon Commons complex heard a loud bang in her apartment on Dec. 24 at about 10 a.m. She called police and an investigation revealed her neighbors at 36 Avalon Circle were having an argument, when the male neighbor, 26-year-old Neil Ross-France, fired a weapon, causing a bullet to penetrate his neighbor’s wall, police said.
A further investigation by Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives revealed the couple was hiding a loaded handgun, a loaded shotgun and a quantity of cocaine and marijuana in the bedroom of their 4-year-old son.

Ross-France was charged with first degree reckless endangerment and obstructing governmental administration.
Both Ross-France and Dominica Kaisen were charged with second degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second degree criminal possession of marijuana, criminal possession of a firearm, third degree criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.

Their child is currently in the custody of a family member. The Suffolk County Department of Social Services Child Protective Services has been notified, police said. Ross-France and Kaisen were scheduled to be arraigned Monday at First District Court in Central Islip.
Ross-France and Kaisen are engaged and Kaisen works as a nurse at St. James Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, according to her Facebook profile.
The investigation is continuing and detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8451.
