Two Firefighters Injured While Battling Car Wash Fire

BRIGHTWATERS, NY - Two firefighters were injured after battling a fire at a Brightwaters car wash on Monday morning.

The Bay Shore Fire Department received a report of a structure fire at Mr. Suds Car Wash on 989 Sunrise Highway.

The Brentwood, West Islip and Islip Fire Departments were all also on the scene.

Firefighters made a quick and aggressive attack on the fire, which was under control in under an hour.

The Bay Shore-Brightwaters Rescue Ambulance treated and transported the two firefighters who suffered from minor injuries.

No other injuries were reported.
