3. New Philharmonic Concerts in the Parks 2012

Where/When:   Cunningham Park, 193rd Street field. Today at 8 p.m.

Why Go: One of six free concerts being performed, this event will feature conductor Andrey Boreyko and violinist James Ehnes.

4. Dancing Under the Stars

Where/When: Flushing Meadows Corona Park at the Unisphere. On Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. 

Why Go: Be sure to drop by this party in the park. Dance instructors will help you move to the Latin beats, while others will be on-hand for some face painting fun for the kids.
