In Which Tax Class Should Co-ops and Condos Be Included? [POLL]

The President's Co-op and Condo Council, a group that represents more than 30,00 units in northeast Queens, has thrown its support behind a bill proposed by state Sen. Tony Avella, D-Bayside, that is meant to reduce property taxes for co-ops and condos.

Under , the units would be given their own tax class - Class 1-A. State Sen. Toby Stavisky, D-Flushing, and state Assemblyman Edward Braunstein, D-Bayside, have proposed similar bills to address assessments, but their legislation proposed putting co-ops and condos in Class 1, which also includes one, two and three-family homes.
