Watch: Sinkhole Swallows Man On Bed-Stuy Street
FDNY confirmed a person was stuck in a hole on Myrtle Avenue and Walworth Street around 11:15 a.m.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A man plummeted into a sinkhole in a Bed-Stuy street Tuesday and had to be yanked out by two firefighters, according to photos, video and the FDNY.
Twitter photos show a man who got stuck knee-deep in a crosswalk on Myrtle Avenue and Walworth Street around 11:15 a.m., said the FDNY.

And video posted on Twitter shows two firefighters pulling the man's right leg out of the hole, at one point grabbing onto his belt for leverage.

"We got him, we got him," a firefighter cries, as the man's leg comes free. One firefighter holds the man's weight as another works to release his foot.

An FDNY spokesman told Patch the man was then rushed to Woodhull Hospital with trauma, but could not provide further detail about the injuries.
